Chennai, March 16 (NationPress) The acclaimed music director and two-time Oscar winner A.R. Rahman, who was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai on Sunday morning, has been released following a short stay.

A medical update from Dr. R.K. Venkatasalam, Director of Medical Services, stated, "A R Rahman came to Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road this morning with symptoms of dehydration and was discharged after a standard check-up."

Earlier, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed that A.R. Rahman was doing well and would be leaving the hospital shortly.

In a message on the social media platform 'X', the Chief Minister mentioned, "I learned about music maestro A.R. Rahman being hospitalized. I contacted the doctors treating him and asked about his health. They informed me that he is doing well and will be heading home shortly. This news brought me joy."

Deputy Chief Minister and son of CM Stalin also posted on X, stating, “I wish music maestro A.R. Rahman a swift recovery and hope he is back home soon.”

The news of the double Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman being admitted to a private hospital in Chennai spread rapidly, and supportive messages flooded in from across the community.
