New Delhi, March 11 (NationPress) The Armenian Foreign Affairs Minister Ararat Mirzoyan conveyed his appreciation to External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr S. Jaishankar on Tuesday for the exceptional welcome and hospitality provided to him and his delegation during their official visit to India.
On the social media platform X, Mirzoyan stated, "Thank you Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar for the warm reception and hospitality offered to me and my delegation today in Delhi."
"We engaged in productive discussions on significant aspects of our bilateral agenda, reflecting on the remarkable advancements we have made and identifying pathways for further enhancing our partnership. I am pleased to continue the dialogue on both regional and international affairs," he remarked.
The Armenian Foreign Minister is in India for an official visit from March 9 to 11 at the invitation of EAM Jaishankar. Throughout this visit, both leaders participated in impactful discussions centered on a broad spectrum of topics aimed at fortifying the burgeoning India-Armenia bilateral relationship.
As stated by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the discussions between the two leaders encompassed vital areas of collaboration, including political exchanges, trade, economic cooperation, education, culture, and the enhancement of people-to-people connections between the nations.
Both ministers highlighted the necessity of exploring fresh opportunities for collaboration in digital technology and pharmaceuticals, emphasizing the potential for growth in these industries, as noted by the MEA.
The dialogue also included a strong focus on multilateral cooperation, particularly within the United Nations and various global platforms.
Moreover, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation between the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service and the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, alongside another MoU between CDSCO, India, and CDMTE, Armenia, regarding the regulation of medical products, was signed, as per the MEA.
Discussions also encompassed regional and global developments of mutual interest, with both leaders exchanging perspectives on crucial issues influencing their respective nations and the international landscape.
