Guwahati, April 4 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, expressed his condolences on Friday regarding the passing of the renowned Bollywood actor Manoj Kumar, emphasizing that art is eternal.
In a post on X, Sarma stated, “Even today, the films of Manoj Kumar ji inspire the people of our nation and energize them to envision new aspirations. Many cherished memories from my childhood are tied to the melodies of his films.”

Legendary actor and filmmaker Manoj Kumar passed away on Friday at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, at the age of 87.
According to medical reports, the cause of Manoj Kumar's death was cardiogenic shock resulting from an acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack.
Reports also indicated that he had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis in recent months, which had severely impacted his health.
The esteemed actor was admitted to the hospital on February 21 due to a deterioration in his health.
Dr. Santosh Shetty, CEO and Executive Director at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital, stated in an official announcement, “Veteran actor Shri Manoj Kumar ji passed away peacefully at our hospital early this morning around 3:30 am, due to age-related health complications. He had been hospitalized for several weeks.”
