The Governor engaged with National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers and Programme Officers from Rajiv Gandhi University, such as Raja Bosumotary, a recipient of the Bharat-Rashtriya Sewa Yojna Puraskar, at Raj Bhavan in Itanagar.
He inspired the NSS Programme Officers and volunteers to embrace curiosity, empathy, and a positive attitude in their everyday lives.
The Governor encouraged them to foster a problem-solving spirit and tackle each challenge with a constructive approach.
As the Chief Rector of RGU, he called on the youth to serve as agents of transformation and actively work towards the Prime Minister’s vision of a developed and self-reliant India.
He emphasized that the youth, as the driving force of the nation, should harness technology, innovation, and creativity to solve rural issues, elevate social consciousness, and promote collective action.
Expressing concern about the escalating issue of drug abuse, the Governor urged volunteers to initiate awareness campaigns targeting all segments of society.

Earlier, the Programme Officers and NSS volunteers reported to the Governor about their ongoing activities and initiatives, including blood donation drives, cleanliness campaigns, and awareness programs addressing social and health concerns.
