Bhopal, Nov 17 (NationPress) A group of senior diplomats from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is set to initiate a three-day visit to the capital of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, starting Tuesday. This visit aims to enhance economic, industrial, investment, and cultural collaboration between the state and the ASEAN bloc.

The delegation is scheduled to meet with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday and engage in a significant discussion regarding the investment-friendly climate, industrial policies, and partnership possibilities with ASEAN nations, as per a statement from the Madhya Pradesh government.

Chief Minister Yadav is expected to showcase Madhya Pradesh’s swiftly growing industrial sector and underline investment prospects in areas such as IT, manufacturing, agro-processing, tourism, and renewable energy, as confirmed by a senior official.

The delegation will participate in a state dinner, where both parties aim to explore methods to deepen ties and fortify economic relations.

Subsequently, they will meet with Governor Mangubhai Patel before attending a Trade and Investment Seminar in Bhopal. Esteemed industrialists, business chamber representatives, and notable investors are anticipated to be part of the seminar.

A presentation will outline Madhya Pradesh’s industrial advancements, infrastructure, logistics framework, and investment-friendly policies, according to the official.

On Wednesday, the delegation will visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites at Sanchi and Bhimbetka.

On Thursday, ASEAN delegates will explore the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya and the Tribal Museum in Bhopal.

This initiative by the state government aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Act East policy, which aims to bolster economic, investment, and cultural partnerships between India and Southeast Asia.

Officials believe that this visit will establish a foundation for long-term collaboration between Madhya Pradesh and ASEAN nations, providing new momentum to industrial, commercial, and cultural relationships.

With its central location, established industrial framework, supportive policies, and rapidly developing infrastructure, Madhya Pradesh is becoming an attractive destination for investors from ASEAN countries.

The ASEAN, or Association of Southeast Asian Nations, is a regional grouping that fosters cooperation in trade, economic development, security, and cultural exchange among its ten member states: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, and Brunei.
