The ‘Thank You Tractor Rally’ commenced from the Krishi Upaj Mandi premises, attracting nearly 3,000 farmers driving their tractors.
The Bhavantar Yojana is a dedicated initiative for soybean farmers in the region, with registration opening on October 3. Under this program, if farmers sell their soybeans for less than the Minimum Support Price (MSP), the government will provide compensation for their losses. The benefits of the Bhavantar Yojana will be delivered directly to farmers' homes.
The scheme will officially be implemented in the state starting October 24.
The generosity shown by the Mohan Yadav government has invigorated the farming community. Many farmers have characterized this initiative as a comprehensive step towards their empowerment and a testament to the state government's strong dedication to agricultural welfare.
The rally began on Sunday morning from the Krishi Upaj Mandi premises and proceeded through the city’s main thoroughfares.
Farmers conveyed their appreciation to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, stating that he has consistently prioritized farmers' interests. They believe that the announcement of the Bhavantar scheme will greatly assist in stabilizing their income during challenging times.
Notably, the registration for the Bhavantar Yojana commenced on October 3, with the program set to take effect across the state on October 24.
Farmer Anil told IANS, "Through the Bhavantar Kisan Yatra, the Chief Minister has ensured that if soyabean is sold below the Minimum Support Price (MSP), the difference will be directly credited to the registered farmer's bank account within 15 days post-sale."
Farmers Kamal Trivedi and Ashok emphasized that the Chief Minister is indeed a true friend of the farming community, noting that the state has a government that conducts village surveys to compensate for rain-related crop losses.
