Thimphu, Nov 11 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude to Bhutan for its unwavering support and prayers for the victims of the Delhi blast, emphasizing that he will always cherish this heartfelt gesture.
In a significant ceremony at Changlimethang Stadium in Thimphu, the country's King Druk Gyalpo led thousands of Bhutanese in a prayer for those affected by the devastating blast.
The leaders of Bhutan extended their sincere condolences regarding the tragic incident that resulted in lives lost due to the car explosion near Delhi's Red Fort Metro Station.
During his visit to Bhutan, which lasts two days, PM Modi took to X to share, "At the programme commemorating the 70th birthday of His Majesty the Fourth King, the Bhutanese people showcased their solidarity with India in light of the Delhi blast through a unique prayer. I will never forget this gesture."
The blast, which occurred on Monday evening, involved a Haryana-registered vehicle parked near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, tragically claiming at least eight lives and injuring many more.
While addressing the crowd at Changlimethang Ground, PM Modi assured that actions would be taken against those responsible for the heinous act in Delhi.
He remarked, "Today marks a significant day for Bhutan, the royal family, and all who advocate for world peace. India and Bhutan have maintained a profound spiritual and cultural connection for centuries, which is why I felt compelled to participate in this occasion."
He confirmed that Indian agencies are determined to uncover the truth behind the conspiracy and pledged that those accountable for the Delhi blast "will not be spared."
"Today, I arrive with a heavy heart. The horrific event that unfolded in Delhi yesterday has deeply affected us all. I empathize with the families of the victims. The entire nation stands united with them. I maintained communication with all investigative agencies throughout the previous night... Our agencies will uncover the depths of this conspiracy. Those responsible will face justice," he stated.
