Patna, Sep 24 (NationPress) The Bihar unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its campaign against the INDIA bloc (a coalition of RJD, Congress, and Left parties), asserting that there is significant disagreement within the alliance regarding seat-sharing. They claim that the bloc’s sole aim in the upcoming elections is to seize power by any means necessary.
In a pointed critique of the so-called 'ghamandiya' alliance, the BJP shared a caricature that illustrates the alleged tensions and divides among the coalition members, just ahead of the Assembly elections.
The mocking poster depicts the alliance’s constituents as being eager to engage in conflict while vying for the maximum number of seats. It satirically references the 'Voter Adhikhar Yatra' led by Rahul Gandhi of the Congress and Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD, suggesting that the parties within the INDIA bloc are embroiled in a desperate scramble over seat allocations.
Accompanying the poster, the BJP remarked, "In Ghamandiya, there is significant discord, and preparations for a major clash are in progress. Bihar is observing - the race for the chair persists."
They further stated in Hindi, "Satta hi maksad, swarth hi aadhar hai" (Power is their only objective, and self-interest forms the foundation).
This satirical portrayal of the INDIA bloc comes against the backdrop of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting, the party's highest decision-making body, taking place in Patna on Wednesday.
Recently, Rahul and Tejashwi set the opposition's tone and agenda to challenge the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government in Bihar by initiating a two-week-long 'Vote Adhikar Yatra', wherein they aimed to rally public support against alleged vote theft and irregularities in the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision drive.
The CWC meeting is anticipated to reinforce the Congress's allegations of 'vote chori' and support its claims regarding the mismanaged SIR exercise in Bihar.
Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal mentioned before the CWC meeting that Bihar finds itself at a crossroads, facing a choice between politics of hope, social justice, and development on one side, and hatred, violence, and unemployment on the other.
"Rahul, Tejashwi, and the INDIA alliance have already alerted the public about the BJP's dubious strategies and are committed to combating their attempts to manipulate the forthcoming elections," he asserted.
