Bihar: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to Launch the Second Phase of Pragati Yatra on January 4

Patna, Dec 23 (NationPress) As Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar commenced the inaugural phase of Pragati Yatra from Valmikinagar in West Champaran on Monday, the state's Cabinet Secretariat revealed the itinerary for the second phase of the Yatra, which is set to begin on January 4 from Gopalganj.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched the Pragati Yatra, a journey focused on development, aimed at assessing ongoing projects and implementing new plans to enhance infrastructure and welfare initiatives throughout Bihar.
S. Siddhartha, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat, announced the schedule, stating that Nitish Kumar will commence the second phase from Gopalganj on January 4, followed by visits to Siwan on January 7, Saran on January 8, Darbhanja on January 11, Madhubani on January 12, and Samastipur on January 13.
Letters detailing the plans were dispatched to the district magistrates, Superintendents of Police, and Divisional Commissioners in the respective regions, instructing them to begin preparations.
Nitish Kumar is anticipated to unveil projects worth crores in each district.
He will also evaluate and oversee the current development projects to ensure their timely and effective execution.
The Pragati Yatra signifies Nitish Kumar's dedication to community-driven governance and fair development.
During the first phase, Nitish Kumar commenced his Pragati Yatra from Valmikinagar, West Champaran on Monday.
He laid the groundwork for various projects totaling ₹700 crore, including a significant ₹139 crore initiative for electrification through underground cables in the Valmikinagar Tiger Reserve area.
This electrification project is projected to be finalized within 18 months, greatly enhancing the lives of the local residents.
