Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin on Monday, 27 July led a high-voltage roadshow through the Bankipur Assembly constituency in Patna, throwing their weight behind NDA candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha ahead of the by-election scheduled for 30 July. The campaign drew a large turnout of BJP workers and supporters, with slogans and receptions at multiple points along the route.

Leaders Express Confidence in NDA Victory

Addressing supporters after the roadshow, BJP National President Nitin Nabin expressed strong confidence in the party's prospects, asserting that the scale of public participation on the streets of Bankipur reflected solid backing for the NDA and pointed to a decisive win in the by-election.

Chief Minister Chaudhary echoed that assessment, describing the turnout as 'overwhelming' and framing it as a public endorsement of development-oriented governance. 'A clear message has been sent from the soil of Bankipur, echoing the public support seen in West Bengal, that the people's trust lies with politics centred on development, good governance and national interest,' Chaudhary said.

He further declared: 'A unique spectacle of enthusiasm, faith and immense affection from the people is visible today during this historic roadshow alongside BJP National President Nitin Nabin. A saffron-hued Patna, the blooming lotus and the zeal of thousands clearly indicate that on July 30, NDA candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha will receive an overwhelming mandate in the Bankipur Assembly constituency.'

COMFED Investments Announced in Nalanda

Earlier on Monday, Chief Minister Chaudhary also announced a set of development initiatives under the Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation (COMFED) worth approximately ₹26 crore in Nalanda. He said goat rearers would soon be brought into the COMFED fold through the Jeevika programme, enabling milk procurement from them and boosting incomes of rural households.

Chaudhary inaugurated a 20,000-litre-per-day (LPD) curd and lassi processing plant built at a cost of approximately ₹20 crore, along with a COMFED-operated HPCL petrol pump and a Sudha Cafeteria. These projects, he said, are aimed at strengthening dairy infrastructure and expanding value-added milk processing capacity in the state.

Support for Rural Livelihoods

During the Nalanda event, the Chief Minister handed over Green Allowance assistance to the Pashu Aahar (Cattle Feed) Lift and Transportation Group and presented the keys of a deep freezer to Jeevika member Tanuja Devi, underlining the government's stated focus on rural livelihood strengthening and dairy sector expansion.

The Bankipur by-election on 30 July is being closely watched as a test of NDA's urban hold in Bihar, particularly in Patna. The constituency has historically been a BJP stronghold, and the scale of Monday's roadshow signals the party is leaving little to chance.
