The District Magistrate also awarded certificates to all officials who contributed to organizing the event.
With the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 recently wrapped up, Muzaffarpur has set a precedent as a model for voter awareness initiatives across the state.
Under the guidance of District Election Officer and District Magistrate Subrata Kumar Sen, the Mega SVEEP event was executed in a spectacular and synchronized manner, inspiring the entire district with a sense of democratic enthusiasm.
The initiative was celebrated akin to a festival of democracy, promoting voter awareness from the district headquarters to the most remote rural areas.
Participants included Jeevika Didis, ICDS workers, health workers, teachers, students, government employees, laborers, farmers, traders, youth, potential voters, and community members.
With collaboration from every Panchayat, school, health center, Jeevika Village Organisation, NGO, and various government departments, the oath ceremony was executed simultaneously, fostering a widespread atmosphere of participation.
The Mega SVEEP event transcended the oath-taking ceremony, evolving into a large-scale cultural celebration.
Activities such as singing, dancing, street plays, slogan writing, rangoli, fancy dress shows, and flash mobs were organized across the district.
These engaging programs merged entertainment with a strong message: “Voting is not merely a right; it is a civic responsibility.”
Slogans like (Pahle Matdaan, Fir Jalpaan) (First vote, then refreshment) helped reinforce the message of responsible voting.
On November 3, the central ceremony took place at the Shaheed Khudiram Bose Stadium, where DM Subrata Kumar Sen administered the oath to a vast audience.
All observers, returning officers, and officials from diverse departments were in attendance.
