Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai responded positively to the announcement, indicating that the election schedule is advantageous and expressing his belief that the citizens of Bihar will decisively eliminate the opposition this time.
“Between 1990 and 2005, Bihar was plagued by jungle raj, with rampant booth looting. However, the landscape has dramatically transformed since 2005,” he commented.
Rai emphasized that this election could serve as a benchmark for the nation, as the Election Commission has guaranteed a transparent and peaceful voting process.
Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha expressed strong confidence that the NDA will once again secure governance in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
Welcoming the announcement from the Election Commission, Sinha stated, “The swift pace of development in Bihar will persist. The NDA will be reinstated on November 14. This election represents not merely a chance to vote but the grandest celebration of democracy, where the populace determines the future trajectory of their state’s progress, governance, and self-sufficiency.”
He further highlighted the achievements of the current administration, saying, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar has reached new heights in development, transparency, and governance. The advancements in electricity, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and employment throughout rural areas showcase the NDA's dedication.”
Sinha described the upcoming election as a referendum between a progressive Bihar and a regression to disorder, asserting that the citizens will again favor development and stability, granting the NDA a resounding victory.
BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal also praised the two-phase election schedule, asserting that the electorate will prioritize development and re-elect the NDA government led by Nitish Kumar.
