New Delhi, Feb 17 (NationPress) BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari strongly condemned Sam Pitroda, the Chief of the Indian Overseas Congress, on Monday after his recent comments suggesting that China should not be viewed as an enemy of India. Bhandari accused Pitroda and the Congress party leadership of harboring a soft spot for China.

In a discussion with IANS, Bhandari claimed, “The Congress Party, Rahul Gandhi, and George Soros are functioning as agents of China.

The undisclosed MoU from 2008 between the Communist Party of China and the Congress Party remains an unaddressed concern. During the Doklam crisis, Rahul Gandhi allegedly held clandestine meetings with the ambassador of China,” he asserted.

Bhandari further stated, “Pitroda’s remarks indicate that both Rahul Gandhi and the Congress Party possess a favorable stance towards China.”

Similarly, BJP spokesperson Ajay Alok criticized Pitroda for trivializing the threat posed by China.

“Sam Pitroda is a mentor to Rahul Gandhi, and the Congress Party has historically maintained a positive rapport with China, dating back to the era of Nehru Ji. They even facilitated China a seat on the Security Council. During the conflict with China, they refrained from deploying the Indian Air Force and instead provided China with rice,” Alok pointed out, further accusing the Congress Party of not taking a robust position against the neighboring nation.

Pitroda's comments were made during an exclusive interview with IANS, where he stated that the perceived menace from China has often been exaggerated. He suggested that India’s confrontational stance towards China has incited unnecessary tensions, creating adversaries and fostering domestic political backing.

“We must shift this perspective,” he said. “This is not only unfair to China, but to all parties involved.”

Pitroda also highlighted the necessity for global cooperation rather than hostility, asserting that nations should unite and acknowledge the increasing influence of countries like China. He declared, “The moment has arrived for all nations to collaborate, not confront.”
