New Delhi, Sep 3 (NationPress) The BJP has approached the Election Commission of India (ECI) regarding Congress leader Pawan Khera, claiming that he possesses an additional vote in the national capital.
The complaint was submitted via Form 7 by a BJP Booth Level Agent (BLA), requesting the removal of what they termed Khera's "duplicate entry" in the electoral rolls.
In the application, BJP BLA Prashant Sharma has asked the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of Assembly Constituency No. 40, New Delhi, to erase Khera's extra entry, citing the reason of "already enrolled".
The objection was lodged under Rule 13(2) and Rule 26 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, which govern the process of adding and removing names from the electoral rolls. The application specifically names Khera, residing at H. No. 3, NDMC Flats, Type-IV, Lodhi Road, Kaka Nagar, New Delhi (EPIC No. SJE0755967).
The BJP contended that Khera's name is already listed elsewhere in the electoral rolls, representing duplication that breaches election regulations.
Form 7 serves as a statutory mechanism that allows individuals, political parties, and BLAs to challenge the wrongful inclusion of names in voter lists. Reasons for objections can include death, change of residence, being underage, non-citizenship, or duplication from multiple registrations.
This action follows the BJP's escalated offensive against the Congress concerning the "voter theft campaign". After uncovering that Congress national spokesperson Khera possesses two voter IDs, the BJP subsequently directed its criticism towards his wife, also a Congress figure, for similarly holding "two active EPICs".
BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya commented on social media platform X, asserting that Pawan Khera's wife, Kota Neelima, who ran for office in the Khairatabad segment of Telangana, also has two active EPICs—one in Khairatabad and the other in New Delhi.
Malviya shared details of the two cards—EPIC Number: TDZ2666014 Assembly: 60-Khairatabad, active in 2023 and 2025; EPIC Number: SJE0755975 Assembly: 40-New Delhi—while questioning Rahul Gandhi's silence on this matter.
"Rahul Gandhi held a press conference and, without proper verification, targeted and defamed honest voters, even jeopardizing their safety by exposing their identities without consent. He doxxed young professionals and low-wage workers seeking better opportunities," he stated on X.
In attacking Gandhi, Malviya asserted that it is clear Congress leaders possess multiple EPIC numbers and are registered in more than one location, which is no coincidence.
