New Delhi, May 31 (NationPress) Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey vehemently criticized Union Minister Giriraj Singh’s inflammatory remarks, stating, “those who seek proof should visit Pakistan and obtain it.” Dubey sharply responded that such statements are both irresponsible and divisive, especially during a time when national unity is vital.
“There is no doubt regarding the valor of our armed forces; every Indian is proud of them,” Dubey asserted.
“However, the BJP has adopted a mindset that sees itself as the greatest patriots, labeling the opposition as anti-national. Individuals like Giriraj Singh frequently make such incendiary comments. This is not the time for political maneuvering. In moments of crisis, both the ruling and opposition factions must unite. Leaders like Giriraj Singh and Amit Malviya need to practice restraint,” he emphasized.
He went on to urge Prime Minister Narendra Modi to manage such voices within the BJP.
“If the government is unable to collaborate with the opposition during national crises, it signifies a failure in leadership. The Prime Minister must ensure discipline within his party,” Dubey remarked.
In response to Congress leader Jairam Ramesh’s statement, “Our MPs are roaming, and so are the terrorists,” Anand Dubey expressed disappointment, labeling the comment as “unfortunate.”
“Jairam Ramesh is an experienced and competent leader. Such statements should not be made. Leaders like him and Udit Raj are doing more harm than good for Congress. This is not the time for political infighting but for national solidarity,” he stated.
Dubey defended the recent international efforts of Indian parliamentarians, asserting, “Our MPs are traveling abroad to reveal Pakistan as a center of terrorism and to highlight India's security issues on global platforms. Leaders should act responsibly and shun a terrorist state like Pakistan, rather than undermining India’s diplomatic initiatives.”
Commenting on Congress leader Salman Khurshid’s remarks supporting the abrogation of Article 370, Dubey expressed approval, stating, “The removal of Article 370 was the right call and aligns with Shiv Sena’s long-standing goals. It was Balasaheb Thackeray’s dream. The situation started improving post-abrogation, although recent events in Pahalgam are concerning. We hope for a return to normalcy to enhance tourism in Jammu and Kashmir.”
He also commended Omar Abdullah’s recent initiatives and urged the central government to maintain support for the Union Territory.
Addressing Shashi Tharoor’s comments regarding the Balakot and surgical strikes, Dubey noted, “Conflicts have occurred over the decades, from 1962 with China to 1971 with Pakistan, and Kargil. While warfare methods may change, the bravery of our armed forces remains constant. Governments may shift, but our soldiers are steadfast in their duty. They owe their allegiance to the nation, not to any political party.”
