Jaipur, May 31 (NationPress) Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat stated on Saturday that the BJP’s governance framework and operational ethos are significantly shaped by the life, principles, and vision of Rajmata Ahilyabai Holkar.
During a media interaction in Jaipur, Shekhawat referred to Ahilyabai Holkar as “the pride of the nation”, emphasizing her enduring legacy in women empowerment, Swaraj, cultural revival, and the upliftment of marginalized communities.
“Rajmata dedicated her life to empowering women, restoring symbols of national pride, and elevating the lowest strata of society through her Antyodaya vision. Currently, both the central and state governments, guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, continue to pursue this noble path,” he remarked.
Shekhawat expressed pride in the fact that on the occasion of Rajmata Ahilyabai Holkar's 300th birth anniversary, BJP National President JP Nadda visited Rajasthan to inspire party members with his vision. “His leadership encourages us to follow in Rajmata's footsteps as we serve the community,” he added.
The Union Minister participated in a Tiranga Yatra from Jawahar Circle to EP, alongside JP Nadda, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, and other senior BJP officials.
In an open jeep, Shekhawat was joined by notable women leaders who led the procession holding the Tricolour, while women party workers formed a human chain along the route.
Earlier, the minister, together with JP Nadda and other dignitaries, adorned the statue of Swami Vivekananda at the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT). The leaders also participated in planting saplings on the campus as a demonstration of their commitment to the environment.
