A four-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered by a 65-year-old man in the Nasrapur area of Bhor taluka, Pune district, on 1 May 2025, triggering widespread outrage across Maharashtra. How the Crime Came to Light
According to police sources, the minor had travelled to Nasrapur for her summer holidays. The accused allegedly lured the child to a cattle shed on the pretext of giving her food, where he reportedly committed the assault. He subsequently murdered the child with a stone and concealed her body under a pile of dung.
The crime was uncovered through CCTV footage, leading to the immediate arrest of the suspect. Police sources have indicated that the accused reportedly has a history of similar molestation charges dating back to 1998 and 2015, raising serious questions about why he remained at large.
