New Delhi/Ahmedabad, Nov 22 (NationPress) Emphasizing the significant impact of books on personal growth, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah took part in the Ahmedabad International Book Fair on Saturday, where he handed out books to children and explored various stalls. In a message on X, Home Minister Shah expressed that books serve as a valuable source of knowledge and an essential tool for personality enhancement. He mentioned, 'Today, I distributed books to children and visited numerous stalls at the Ahmedabad International Book Fair organized by the AMC and National Book Trust (NBT).'
HM Shah noted that the fair, which includes literary events, folk music, poetry readings, and a start-up forum, is poised to play a crucial role in intellectually enriching children and youth by fostering a love for reading and skill acquisition.
On Friday, HM Shah inaugurated the newly completed Shree Kamalam BJP district office in Morbi, attended by Gujarat's party president Jagdish Vishwakarma. The occasion also included a grand recognition ceremony for party members, marking a notable milestone for the district unit.
Addressing an enthusiastic crowd of workers, HM Shah delivered a forceful political address aimed at the Opposition, energizing the party ahead of the approaching local body elections.
'Those who anticipated the BJP and NDA's decline should listen closely – governments will be formed by the BJP and NDA even in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal,' he declared.
Home Minister Shah emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi, and state BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma, the party must strive to surpass all previous records in municipal, panchayat, and other local elections.
'The Congress will once again face a setback in the upcoming local elections. Every BJP worker must remain vigilant until the Congress can only be located with a telescope,' he stated.
Reflecting on the party's history, HM Shah remarked that the BJP was established on the foundational principles of ideology and organization.
'Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fortified both and introduced a third dimension – service – which has guided the party’s numerous workers towards public service,' he said. He also directed criticism at the Congress, recalling Rajiv Gandhi's remark 'we two, our two', stating, 'Today, the BJP and NDA govern two-thirds of India.'
Reiterating the BJP's commitment to national security, HM Shah reaffirmed the party's determination to eradicate illegal infiltration.
'Let the Congress and its allies act as they wish. The BJP is resolute in removing every infiltrator – from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Dwarka to Kamakhya. In Bihar too, voters favored the NDA for an infiltrator-free state,' he concluded.
