Chandrababu Naidu expressed his congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the groundbreaking launch of the next-generation GST reforms and the initiation of the ‘GST Bachat Utsav. He emphasized that this celebration genuinely prioritizes the citizen in governance.
Naidu stated, “On behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister for this bold and visionary reform.”
“Aligning with the festive season, the Next Gen GST represents a dual celebration for citizens, who will gain from reduced prices, simplified taxation, and a more robust, inclusive economy,” Naidu shared on X following the Prime Minister’s address to the nation prior to the rollout of GST 2.0.
He noted, “The tax slabs have been simplified to just two: 5 percent and 18 percent. Almost 99 percent of essential goods now fall under the 5 percent category. This reform will enhance affordability in daily life for our citizens, particularly benefiting the middle class, underprivileged, farmers, women, and youth,” emphasizing that the streamlined tax structure will reduce costs, promote business growth, and attract greater investment.
As a crucial ally of the BJP-led NDA government, Chandrababu Naidu encouraged everyone to proudly support and purchase swadeshi/local products, making each day a step towards self-sufficiency and national pride.
“With PM's 'Nagrik Devo Bhava' as our guiding principle, this significant reform serves as a gift to both the present and future of every Indian. The Hon'ble PM's appeal, 'Garv se kaho, ye Swadeshi hai', stands tall as a rejuvenated national movement, motivating every household to cherish and support Indian-made products,” he remarked.
