Raipur, June 22 (NationPress) The inhabitants of Basin village in the Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh are filled with joy and enthusiasm due to the road construction under the PM JANMAN Yojana, which is set to unlock new avenues of connectivity and opportunity for them.
The development of the road has fostered a sense of happiness among the locals, who believe that this progress will pave the way for swift regional development. Many residents have expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiating transformative changes in their lives.
Raksa village, predominantly inhabited by marginalized communities such as Dalits, is optimistic about a significant improvement in their lifestyle, along with a boost to their livelihoods.
Executive Engineer Abhishek Patkar remarked that the PM JANMAN Yojana is facilitating the construction of roads to connect backward and tribal communities, particularly the Kamar tribes in Gariaband, to the mainstream.
“Previously, the presence of a kutcha road in Kamar Basahate turned muddy during the rainy season, causing considerable commuting difficulties for residents. The road construction under the Janman Yojana is set to change that. After completion, it will benefit school children, farmers, and businessmen alike,” he stated.
He added that in the first batch of the PM Janman Yojana, 35 roads spanning 65 km were approved, of which three have been completed at a cost of Rs 36 crore. Additionally, 14 more roads were approved in Batch-2, with the agreement finalized a month ago.
Villager Ram Kumar Nishad shared, “Thanks to the PM Janman Yojana, a road has been built in our village. Now, we can easily travel to other areas, unlike before when the lack of roads posed significant challenges.”
Another villager mentioned that the newly constructed road will offer substantial relief to the residents.
