Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Saturday, 25 July 2026 inaugurated a new 400-bed Orthopedic and Neuro Super Specialty Hospital building at the Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital complex in Rajvanshi Nagar, Patna, constructed at a cost of ₹215 crore. The facility is designed to deliver world-class tertiary care within Bihar, reducing the need for patients to travel to other states for complex treatments.

Posting on X, CM Choudhary announced the inauguration in Hindi, stating that the new building would provide 'विश्वस्तरीय चिकित्सा सुविधाएं' ('world-class medical facilities') to patients suffering from serious and complex illnesses, right within the state. He added that the hospital would give Bihar's healthcare services 'a new direction and new momentum.'

The new block is housed within the existing LNJP Hospital campus — one of Patna's largest government medical complexes — and represents a significant vertical expansion of the state's public tertiary care infrastructure.
