A Katyuri Masterpiece Hidden in Kumaon's Hills

The Kapileshwar Shiv Mandir is attributed to the Katyuri dynasty, the medieval rulers who shaped much of Kumaon's religious and architectural landscape between roughly the 7th and 11th centuries CE. The post fits a well-established pattern for the Dhami administration and Uttarakhand governments before it: using the social-media platforms of senior leaders to amplify heritage sites that sit outside the state's headline pilgrimage circuit of Char Dham.
