“The 'Delhi Yoga Anthem' represents a groundbreaking effort to unify our cultural heritage with the essence of Yoga and the tourism landscape of our city. Under the esteemed guidance of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, India has not only elevated Yoga to international prominence but has also made it the heart and soul of our nation and a cornerstone of our cultural revival,” she remarked.
While announcing her participation in the IYD events along the banks of the Yamuna River, CM Rekha declared, “In harmony with this spirit, the Delhi Government will host a spectacular Yoga Mahotsav at 11 prominent locations throughout the capital. This event transcends a mere health initiative; it celebrates the rich tapestry of Delhi's historical identity, the Indian Yoga tradition, and community involvement,” she emphasized.
“For the first time, large-scale Yoga Day celebrations will be organized at significant venues across Delhi. We anticipate approximately 20,000 participants from various government sectors, including officials, ministers, and MLAs, all joining in the Yoga Day festivities,” she confirmed, adding that she will personally lead a Yoga session at the Soniya Vihar Water Sports Club.
“I envision a Delhi that sets benchmarks across all sectors, and in this vision, Yoga will play a pivotal role. As India ascends on the global platform, we must unite to connect Delhi with this national celebration, ensuring broad public participation. My aspiration is to restore the glorious, historic identity of Delhi,” expressed CM Gupta.
Taking to X, the Chief Minister encouraged citizens to actively engage in the Yoga Day celebrations.
“Let us all come together for this magnificent festival on June 21, and realize the dream of 'New India – New Delhi' as a robust, healthy, and harmonious capital,” she urged.
