Chennai, Oct 29 (NationPress) Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is set to embark on a significant visit to Tamil Nadu's Tenkasi district this Wednesday, where he will launch an array of government welfare initiatives and provide aid to thousands of beneficiaries.
The Chief Minister's journey will commence from Ariyanakipuram in Tirunelveli district in the early morning, leading him to Tenkasi by road. Upon reaching the district's border at Alangulam, he will receive a warm welcome from Tirunelveli (West) DMK in-charge Avudaiyappan.
Following this reception, CM Stalin will travel through Athiyuthu, Surandai, and Sambavarvadakarai to Lathur, where he will present the 100,000th house built under the Kalaignar Kanavu Illam housing scheme to beneficiary Sumathi, marking a significant achievement in the state's premier project.
Later, the Chief Minister will attend a large government function at Ananthapuram Grounds along the Ayikudi-Tenkasi road. There, he will distribute welfare aid amounting to Rs 445 crore to approximately 24,000 beneficiaries from various social welfare departments.
Additionally, he will inaugurate public works worth Rs 575 crore and lay the foundation stones for several new projects.
In total, CM Stalin will launch development and welfare programs worth Rs 1,020 crore for the Tenkasi district. A grand pavilion and stage have been constructed for this event, adorned with banners showcasing various government initiatives.
After addressing the attendees, Chief Minister Stalin will visit Amar Seva Sangam in Ayikudi, where he will engage with differently-abled children and assess the services provided by the organization.
Subsequently, he will head to the Courtallam Tourist House for lunch before continuing to Madurai later in the afternoon. Throughout Tenkasi, DMK supporters have decorated the town with party flags and welcome banners in anticipation of his arrival.
