Bhopal, Nov 12 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav commended state Tribal Affairs Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah for consistently introducing innovative strategies aimed at enhancing the welfare of the tribal population. During the opening session of a national conference celebrating Janjatiya Gaurv Diwas (Tribal Pride Day), CM Yadav remarked that Shah, a member of the Tribal community himself, has always been dedicated to empowering tribal individuals through his unwavering efforts.
The Chief Minister emphasized that Shah regularly presents unique ideas to inspire and assist tribal youth. “Kunwar Vijay Shah, who also comes from the Tribal community, is committed to serving the people from his community. His ideas and experiments surprise me,” stated CM Yadav.
Furthermore, CM Yadav noted that Shah’s strong connection with the tribal community has established him as a formidable leader, allowing him to win elections with ease. “When it comes to the election, Vijay Shah's victory is 100 percent sure. This type of security is not with anyone (leader),” he added.
CM Yadav also pledged support for social organizations focused on empowering the tribal community, asserting that the state government is devoted to promoting the welfare of tribal society.
The conference took place at the Kushabhau Thakre Convention Centre in Bhopal, commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of the tribal icon Birsa Munda, which will be celebrated on Saturday.
Importantly, Vijay Shah, aged 63, who secured his first Assembly election from Harsud in Khandwa district in 1990, has remained undefeated since then and has become a notable Tribal leader within the BJP's Madhya Pradesh unit. However, he recently faced backlash due to controversial remarks regarding Indian Army Officer Colonel Sofiya Qureshi following 'Operation Sindoor', which ignited a nationwide debate.
