Bhopal, May 22 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday conveyed his heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the recent inauguration of six new railway stations as part of the 'Amrit Bharat Station Scheme' (ABSS) in Madhya Pradesh.
The six stations that were inaugurated include Narmadapurm, Sridham, Katni South, Seoni, Shajapur, and Orchha. These stations are part of a total of 103 railway stations nationwide that PM Modi virtually inaugurated during an event held in Bikaner, Rajasthan on the same day.
Among the 103 stations inaugurated, 19 are located in Uttar Pradesh, 18 in Gujarat, 15 in Maharashtra, 9 in Tamil Nadu, 8 in Rajasthan, 6 in Madhya Pradesh, and 5 each in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka. Additionally, 3 each in Jharkhand, Telangana, and West Bengal, 2 each in Bihar and Kerala, and 1 each in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Puducherry.
Initiated in 2022, the 'Amrit Bharat Station Scheme' aims to enhance railway stations and transform them into vibrant city centers.
The Ministry of Railways has stated that under this scheme, comprehensive plans are developed for each station, with the execution of work carried out in phases according to the specific needs of each station.
During the inauguration event at Narmadapurm railway station, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed that PM Modi has blessed Madhya Pradesh with these six new railway stations.
"I am honored to witness this historic occasion virtually from Narmadapurm, and I express my sincere gratitude to PM Modi on behalf of the people of Madhya Pradesh for the gift of six new railway stations today," Yadav remarked.
While addressing the program at the newly inaugurated Narmadapurm railway station, the Chief Minister praised PM Modi and the Indian Armed Forces for their decisive response to Pakistan through 'Operation Sindoor'.
"Operation Sindoor has showcased India's prowess under PM Modi's leadership, making it clear that India will not tolerate terrorism. After the Pahalgam terror attack, Pakistan attempted to instigate unrest, but India stood united under PM Modi's guidance," Yadav concluded.
