Amaravati, Oct 19 (NationPress) The government of Andhra Pradesh has declared its intention to release funds for outstanding industrial incentives, with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reaffirming the state's goal to become a favored hub for business and development.
The Chief Minister shared on his official X account the allocation of Rs 1,500 crore for pending industrial incentives.
"Deepawali serves as a reminder that light ultimately prevails over darkness. On this significant occasion, our administration is disbursing the first tranche of Rs 1,500 crore for outstanding industrial incentives," CM Naidu stated.
"In spite of financial hurdles, we remain devoted to supporting industry, enhancing investor trust, and positioning Andhra Pradesh as an attractive destination for business and progress," he continued.
The Chief Minister noted that this crucial decision aims to support industrialists, who are vital partners in the advancement of Andhra Pradesh.
This initiative is expected to provide considerable relief to small and medium enterprises in the region, he mentioned.
The TDP-led coalition government is committed to aiding all segments of society through welfare programs for the underprivileged, job creation via investments, timely payments to government personnel, and incentives to entrepreneurs, according to an official announcement.
On the previous day, the state administration resolved to grant one Dearness Allowance (DA) installment to government workers, effective from November 1.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister has emphasized that Andhra Pradesh should evolve as a center for artificial intelligence (AI).
He remarked that the upcoming Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) partnership summit, set to take place in Visakhapatnam on November 14-15, should prioritize positive policy formulation and knowledge dissemination.
During a review meeting with officials regarding the summit's organization in Visakhapatnam, CM Naidu asserted that the event should mirror the Davos World Economic Forum summits.
He emphasized that plenary and breakout sessions should prioritize knowledge sharing.
He stated that discussions should revolve around AI for good, semiconductors, health sector advancements, innovation, research and development, space technology, drones, electronics, and Medtech.
Moreover, he mentioned that topics should include smart manufacturing, logistical networks, connectivity, inland waterways, warehousing, cold storage, agritech, and the value addition in rare earth minerals, alongside initiatives for a clean Andhra, circular economy, and Public-Private-People Partnership programs.
He noted that with Google's decision to establish a significant AI data center in Visakhapatnam, the city is poised to gain recognition.
He pointed out that many companies are increasingly favoring Visakhapatnam.
At this critical juncture, prioritizing skill development and human resources is essential, he said.
He suggested that universities and educational institutions should be represented at the summit.
He advocated for promoting the norm of one family, one entrepreneur.
He concluded by stating that economic corridors, industrial clusters, the Amaravati blue and green capital, water security, a forward-thinking workforce, and technology-driven governance should be highlighted during the summit.
