This upcoming electoral battle is critical as it serves as a semi-final for the 2026 Assembly elections, which is anticipated to be a fiercely contested political event.
With the momentum gained from Nilambur, the party has initiated a campaign to mobilize its senior members to engage at the grassroots level. Key leaders have been designated to oversee specific districts and rally support.
V.D. Satheesan, the Leader of Opposition, will manage the party's initiatives in Kochi, specifically aiming to regain control of the Kochi Corporation, previously lost to the Left in the 2020 local elections.
Veteran leader and Kannur MP K. Sudhakaran will head the campaign in Kannur, while senior Congress figure K. Muraleedharan has been tasked with the Thiruvananthapuram district.
Notable leaders such as Benny Behanan, Ramesh Chennithala, P.C. Vishnunath, and Roji M. John will also spearhead efforts in important districts.
