Mangaluru (Karnataka), Sep 1 (NationPress) Union Minister for Food, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs Pralhad Joshi on Monday claimed that a plot is in motion across the nation targeting the majority community.
Speaking to a large audience at the ‘Dharmasthala Chalo’ rally, which was organized to denounce the supposed propaganda against the temple town of Dharmasthala and to urge that the mass grave investigation be transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Joshi asserted, “A conspiracy is indeed unfolding in our nation against the majority community—ranging from the Waqf dispute, the Shah Bano affair, triple talaq, and the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA). The Dharmasthala situation is just a part of this ongoing conspiracy.”
Referencing recent occurrences, he stated, “In the Pahalgam terror incident, assailants targeted tourists based on their religion. Subsequently, the BJP-led administration executed Operation Sindoor. However, the Congress raised inquiries that should have originated from Pakistan instead. They stalled Parliament for an extended period, insisting that Operation Sindoor be the priority discussion. They even questioned the certainty that the Pahalgam attackers were from Pakistan. In the past, during the Mumbai attacks, they also tried to shield Pakistan.”
“Our collective memory appears short-lived. The Congress once alleged that the Mumbai terror strikes were orchestrated by Hindu extremists. They aimed to tarnish Hindu society while defending Pakistan. Following the Batla House incident, Sonia Gandhi mourned for a terrorist yet overlooked Mohan Chand Sharma, our brave officer who sacrificed his life during the encounter,” Joshi accused.
He went on, “When the Modi administration conducted surgical strikes and Operation Sindoor, the Congress raised doubts. After our forces targeted terrorist camps during Operation Sindoor, we received intel indicating that Pakistan was gearing up for retaliation. Even then, while our forces were effectively neutralizing threats during namaz, the Congress continued to challenge our actions.”
“To the Congress and Sonia Gandhi—not including Rahul Gandhi, as he lacks comprehension—I say your theatrics have been unveiled. A wave of Hindu unity is rising across the nation, with millions endorsing Hindutva principles,” he stressed.
“We refuse to send dossiers to Pakistan. We will not engage with terrorists like Yasin Malik. We will obliterate terrorism. We will retaliate against any threats to our nation. There exists an ultra-leftist administration in Karnataka under CM Siddaramaiah, but the Centre shall persist in serving national interests,” Joshi declared.
Directing his critique towards Dy CM D.K. Shivakumar and State Congress President, Joshi posed the question, “Shivakumar claims that Chamundi Hills does not belong to Hindus. To whom does it belong? Are there plans to seize the temple? Shivakumar previously tried to rename Kapali Hills to Yesu Hills by erecting a statue of Jesus Christ. What is transpiring in this state?”
The Union Minister also raised concerns regarding the Dussehra inaugural invitation. “Why was only Booker Prize winner Banu Mushtaq invited for the Dussehra inauguration while translator Deepa Bhasti was omitted? Deepa is excluded due to her Hindu identity. Banu Mushtaq has claimed that Kannada equates to a goddess and questioned her ability to respect it. Is she not ashamed to convey such sentiments after experiencing this land's air and drinking from the Cauvery? If she genuinely respects Chamundeshwari and the people's feelings, we welcome her,” Joshi expressed.
“The era of former PM Rajiv Gandhi and the Shah Bano case is over. The public must recall that the Congress once attempted to introduce the Communal Violence Bill, which held Hindus accountable in any incident of violence. This Bill was formulated by a committee with a majority from minority communities. When it was halted, the Congress vowed to enact it if they regained power in 2014. Since then, the Congress has not returned to power—and they likely never will,” the Union Minister commented.
“The sole remedy to this conspiracy against Hindus lies in awareness. We must stand united, regardless of caste, language, or religion, to counter these divisive entities. The populace must thwart this conspiracy,” Joshi urged.
