Agartala/Aizawl, May 29 (NationPress) An under-construction structure situated along the border between Tripura and Mizoram has suffered significant damage due to actions by unidentified individuals, prompting a separate investigation by the police forces of both states, officials reported on Thursday.
The Superintendent of Police for North Tripura District, Avinash Rai, indicated that the incident occurred late on Tuesday night at Phuldungsei village, where the building was under construction.
“The Tripura Police are actively investigating the situation to catch the perpetrators. The Mizoram Police are also conducting their own inquiry to identify those responsible. Our relationship with the Mizoram police is strong, and they have committed to cooperating with us in this matter,” the district police chief explained during a phone interview from the North Tripura District headquarters in Dharmanagar.
