New Delhi, May 16 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, publicly advocated for the complete rejection of apples and various products imported from Turkey and Azerbaijan. She asserted that those who support elements detrimental to our nation's interests will inevitably face a '100 per cent boycott' and the unified resentment of the Indian populace.

During a media briefing while visiting the Azadpur Mandi, the largest fruit market in Asia, CM Gupta stated, "I commend the traders for their boycott. If any nation acts against Bharat's interests in any capacity, Indian citizens will respond with a boycott."

"This decision is a testament to the patriotism of our traders," she added.

Expressing her support for the public outcry against nations that promote terrorism in India, she declared, "There will be no 'vyapar, varta or sambandh' (trade, communication or relations) with countries that endorse terror."

The Chief Minister also praised Jawaharlal Nehru University and Jamia Millia Islamia for terminating their agreements with Turkish educational institutions.

"A complete boycott of nations that support terrorism in our land is essential," she emphasized.

Earlier at the Azadpur Mandi, CM Gupta criticized the poor state of facilities, highlighting issues like inadequate security and sanitation throughout the area.

"The prior AAP government has turned this market into a hub of corruption. Their ministers and appointed chairmen showed no interest in improvement," she remarked.

"Those leaders who pledged to transform Delhi into a city as admirable as London or Paris have failed to enhance even the sanitation and restroom facilities here," she added.

The Chief Minister pledged a significant overhaul of amenities for both traders and workers in the mandis, identifying modernization, cleanliness, proper roads, restroom maintenance, and security as primary focus areas.

"The BJP government will eliminate corruption in the mandis, and we will reconstitute committees for overall enhancement," she promised.

With thousands of trucks operating here, handling food items, she noted that the previous government had allowed the market to deteriorate into a massive waste site.
