In response to PM Modi's special address regarding the implementation of GST 2.0, CM Gupta shared his remarks on X, stating, “A savings festival is commencing on the first day of Navratri.”
She also highlighted PM Modi’s assertion that MSMEs and small businesses will undeniably gain from the next-generation GST.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva also praised the introduction of the next-gen GST reforms by PM Modi's administration, claiming that the PM has provided a significant gift to both the common people and traders of the nation and Delhi on this auspicious first day of Navratri.
Sachdeva emphasized that these reforms will not only reduce the costs of essential goods for the public but also empower traders to invest more in their enterprises while helping them navigate complex legal challenges related to taxation.
He expressed that the Union government’s decision, ahead of the festive season, acts as a Festival of Savings for the residents of Delhi. “This initiative will benefit everyone—from traders and shopkeepers to the underprivileged, middle class, youth, farmers, women, and entrepreneurs,” he remarked.
Sachdeva noted that PM Modi's government, which has realized the aspiration of ‘One Nation, One Tax’, has now taken another step to alleviate the financial strain on citizens as the festival season approaches.
He urged the citizens of Delhi to support local products and purchase Made-in-India goods this festive season to contribute to the vision of making India self-reliant.
Earlier, the PM’s address on the eve of the momentous GST reforms conveyed a strong message regarding cooperative federalism, urging states to collaborate with the Centre to achieve the goal of a self-reliant India.
Alongside wishing people a happy Bachat Utsav or Savings Festival and motivating them to opt for Indian products over foreign goods, PM Modi called upon all state governments to actively support the Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Swadeshi initiatives.
“When the Centre and states work together, the vision for a self-reliant India will be accomplished, every state will prosper, and India will evolve into a developed nation,” he asserted.
Seeking collaboration from state governments, PM Modi encouraged them to enhance manufacturing in their regions with vigor and enthusiasm by fostering an inviting investment climate.
PM Modi characterized the next-generation Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms as historic, underscoring that this initiative will be a monumental stride toward Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
