New Delhi, Sep 3 (NationPress) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has reinstated the 'Jan Sunwai' initiative at her camp office located in Civil Lines, under strict security measures, nearly two weeks following the assault on her.
The 'Jan Sunwai' event attracted numerous residents from the city, who visited her office to present their issues and seek assistance from the Chief Minister.
This gathering, marking the first after the physical attack on her, was heavily monitored with police and security personnel forming a protective barrier around the Chief Minister. A table was set up between her and the attendees, allowing them to approach one by one to voice their complaints.

“I approached the Chief Minister with my concern. I am physically disabled -- one of my arms and a leg is affected. I appealed for a government job, as it would greatly help improve my situation,” shared one city resident.
Another participant remarked, “I told them that my country gained independence in 1947. I was there, I was part of it, and till today I haven't received any benefits. My children may have received something, jobs and all, but I didn't get anything — no pension, nothing. I'm troubled. The Chief Minister assured me, 'Go, it will be done, you'll get the pension...'”
