New Delhi, Nov 25 (NationPress) Delhi Cabinet Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh, accompanied by NDMC Chairman Keshav Chandra, participated in the inauguration of three “Ayushman Arogya Mandir” located at Bapu Dham, Netaji Nagar, and Golf Link on Tuesday, as confirmed by an official announcement.
Following the inauguration of the “Ayushman Arogya Mandir”, Parvesh Sahib Singh conducted a thorough inspection of the facilities and engaged with the medical personnel, according to the official statement.
He noted that two of the “Ayushman Arogya Mandir” locations, one in Golf Link and the other two at Netaji Nagar and Bapu Dham Dispensary, are dedicated to enhancing public health services under the Ayushman Arogya Mandir initiative.
After the inauguration of the Ayushman Arogya Mandir dispensary at Golf Links, the Minister stated that as part of the Delhi government's new initiative, these centers will be established in various locations across Delhi to provide improved healthcare services.
He elaborated that previous dispensaries lacked laboratory testing capabilities, but the newly opened Ayushman Arogya Kendra will now provide such facilities.
Additionally, he mentioned that an annual allocation of Rs 25 lakh will be dedicated to these dispensaries to improve healthcare delivery.
Furthermore, he assured that costly medications sourced externally will now be provided free of charge, alleviating financial burdens on citizens.
Pravesh Sahib Singh emphasized that the purpose of establishing healthcare services like the Ayushman Arogya Mandir is to ensure easy access to quality healthcare for all.
“If these centers deliver superior healthcare services from the beginning, the necessity for citizens to visit expensive hospitals will diminish,” he remarked.
On this occasion, NDMC chief Keshav Chandra highlighted that under the Ayushman Arogya Mandir initiative, the NDMC has rebranded and opened 12 dispensaries as Ayushman Arogya Mandir in its jurisdiction.
The NDMC's Medical Services department caters to comprehensive healthcare for all residents within its area and extends several services to individuals residing outside it.
While addressing attendees, NDMC Member Anil Valmiki stated that a variety of medical practices, including Allopathy, Homoeopathy, and Ayurvedic, will be offered at the three new Mandirs, along with testing, vaccination, and medicinal facilities.
He reiterated that their aim is to prioritize the welfare of the populace over marketing.
NDMC Member Dinesh Pratap Singh, after inaugurating the Ayushman Arogya Mandir at Netaji Nagar, remarked that this initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of Ayushman Bharat, aimed at delivering holistic healthcare to all Indian citizens.
In line with the PM's vision, the NDMC Medical Services strives to create and sustain an optimal level of healthcare, focusing on early diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and preventive measures such as vaccinations, he added.
An official reported that the NDMC provides health services through its Charak Palika Hospital (154 beds), Palika Maternity Hospital (65 beds), two polyclinics (Dental unit and Chest Clinic), and 13 dispensaries (Allopathic and AYUSH, which includes one Unani Dispensary).
