New Delhi, Jan 6 (NationPress) On Tuesday, Delhi's Social Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh presented the Vote of Thanks for the Address delivered by Lieutenant Governor V. K. Saxena in the Delhi Legislative Assembly on behalf of the government.
The Minister highlighted that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, numerous landmark initiatives have been implemented aimed at achieving a Viksit Delhi and promoting Antyodaya.
The Vote of Thanks remains unfinished and is anticipated to resume on Wednesday, marking the third day of the ongoing Winter Session of the Assembly.
Ravinder Indraj remarked that the developments across various sectors in the last 10 months, along with significant schemes and extensive reforms, have left the opposition unsettled, leading to frequent disruptions in the House and obstructing its seamless operations.
The Social Welfare Minister expressed appreciation to Saxena for outlining the government’s accomplishments in the Assembly and for his valuable guidance.
He noted that the government has established new standards of development in areas including education, infrastructure, health, women’s welfare, water supply, electricity, roads, industrial growth, environmental care, and social justice.
Ravinder Indraj asserted that the Delhi Government is fulfilling the aspirations of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, Mahatma Gandhi, and Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
There is a strong focus on Gramodaya, Antyodaya, and Sarvodaya. Additionally, elaborate events have been organized in harmony with public sentiments and for cultural enhancement.
The Social Welfare Minister also thanked Speaker Vijender Gupta for allowing him to share his insights in the Assembly.
During the Vote of Thanks, Gonda legislator Ajay Kumar Mahawar remarked that the 11 months of BJP governance have significantly improved the delivery of social welfare services.
Criticizing the former AAP government, Mahawar stated that the Arvind Kejriwal administration claimed it would develop in collaboration with Mohalla Committees but instead resorted to opening liquor shops in residential zones.
He also criticized the Mohalla Clinic model from the Kejriwal government, arguing that these inadequately equipped centers were overrun by stray animals and failed to fulfill their intended purpose due to the previous government's corruption.
