This recent rain follows heavy downpours that impacted Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, and other parts of the National Capital Region earlier this week, resulting in numerous flight delays and cancellations on Tuesday.
The IMD forecasts light to moderate rain in most areas, with moderate to heavy showers expected in isolated spots across Delhi and NCR over the next two to three hours.
The bulletin released at 5:55 a.m. on Thursday indicated, "Updated nowcast map shows spells of moderate to intense rainfall primarily affecting Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, North Madhya Pradesh, and West Uttar Pradesh in the next three hours."

Rain or thundershowers are anticipated in most areas of western Uttar Pradesh and a few locations in the eastern region on Thursday, with rainfall intensity expected to diminish from August 15.
The IMD also warned of possible thunderstorms accompanied by lightning at isolated locations.
Across the nation, monsoon activity has intensified, leading the IMD to issue alerts for heavy to very heavy rainfall in several states.
Extremely heavy rain is forecasted in isolated areas of Uttarakhand, while heavy to very heavy showers are anticipated in Himachal Pradesh.
Heavy rainfall is also likely at certain locations in Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana.
Furthermore, the department cautioned about thunderstorms or lightning occurring in isolated areas of Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh, along with gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph in Jammu & Kashmir.
