New Delhi, Sep 21 (NationPress) In a significant victory against interstate drug trafficking, the Inter-State Cell (ISC), part of the Delhi Police's Crime Branch, has successfully dismantled a drug syndicate operating out of Bareilly. The authorities managed to confiscate nearly two kilograms of high-grade smack, along with substantial amounts of cash and valuable metals.

This operation was initiated following credible intelligence regarding the illicit drug operations.

On September 15, a police team apprehended Aman Khan (22), a Bareilly resident, at the Anand Vihar Bus Terminal in Delhi, acting on specific intelligence.

During the search, officers recovered 214.5 grams of smack from his possession, leading to the registration of a case under the NDPS Act.

In the course of questioning, Khan disclosed that his trip to Delhi was orchestrated by Uwaise Khan (20).

Following this lead, a coordinated raid with local law enforcement took place in Bareilly on September 18, resulting in the arrest of Uwaise at his residence in Village Gugai, Police Station Meerganj.

Subsequent to the interrogation, authorities uncovered an additional 1.76 kg of smack, Rs 10.30 lakh in cash, 435 grams of gold, and 550 grams of silver, as stated by the police.

The police report indicated that Khan has a previous criminal history, including involvement in an NDPS case at Police Station Shyampur, Haridwar, Uttarakhand, back in 2022.

The operation was spearheaded by Inspector Satendra Khari (ISC), with support from Sub Inspector Amit Kumar, SI Sanjay, and Head Constables Sanoj, Lalit, Brijesh, and Surender. The task force operated under the oversight of Ramesh Lamba, ACP/ISC, as per the statement from Aditya Gautam, Deputy Commissioner of Police.

The statement revealed that further raids are underway to capture additional members of this syndicate.
