New Delhi, Sep 30 (NationPress) The Delhi Police apprehended two women associates of 'Swami' Chaitanyanand Saraswati, who faces serious allegations of molesting 17 women students, on Tuesday and commenced their interrogation.

The individual, also referred to as Partha Sarathy, is the director of the esteemed Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management located in Vasant Kunj, a luxury area in Delhi. He is embroiled in a criminal case for allegedly preying on female students enrolled in post-graduate management diploma programs through the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) scholarship.

As per the complainant, three wardens facilitated Chaitanyanand in luring the girls to his room. It remains uncertain whether the two detained women are those wardens.

Authorities reported that Chaitanyanand is not cooperating during the interrogation, exhibiting a lack of remorse.

He provided misleading information during questioning, prompting officials to confront him directly with the detained associates.

Officials revealed that the 'Swami' fled on August 4, shortly after a complaint from the Indian Air Force headquarters accused him of molesting female students. He was apprehended at a hotel in Agra on September 28.

Subsequently, Chaitanyanand was presented before the court, which granted a 5-day police custody. The police interrogated him at the institute for several hours before returning him.

Investigators assert that Chaitanyanand would summon female students to his room late at night, threatening to fail them or diminish their grades if they resisted his advances.

The police took Chaitanyanand to the 'torture room' situated on the ground floor of the institution, where he would hold private meetings with female students.

To date, the police have recorded statements from three wardens at the institute, all of whom are accused of aiding Chaitanyanand in erasing incriminating messages.

WhatsApp chats retrieved from the phones of approximately 50 women students have unveiled details of abuse spanning 16 years, comprising sexually explicit messages and instances of forced physical contact.

Allegations have also emerged regarding the deletion of CCTV footage, with the DVR currently sent for examination at the Forensic Science Laboratory.

During their investigation, police scrutinized the locations of the CCTV cameras installed on the premises. Chaitanyanand was also interrogated about these cameras.

The examination aimed to determine which cameras he had access to and how he monitored the activities of female students.

Seventeen women lodged complaints at the Defence Colony Police Station in early August, accusing Chaitanyanand of harassment.

Officials highlighted that Chaitanyanand has allegedly been targeting women for nearly two decades, emboldened by his ability to evade previous molestation charges in 2009 and 2016.

This scandal gained traction when 17 women reported incidents at the Defence Colony Police Station in early August. At that time, Chaitanyanand was in London but was eventually traced back to Agra.
