New Delhi, Nov 30 (NationPress) The Special Cell of Delhi Police has dismantled an international and interstate terror network allegedly run by Shahzad Bhatti, a gangster turned terrorist. This operation resulted in the apprehension of three main suspects involved in the grenade attack that occurred outside the City Police Station in Gurdaspur, Punjab, on November 25.
The arrests were executed by a specialized team from the Cell's Eastern Range, led by Inspectors Rahul Kumar and Vineet Kumar Tewatia, under the vigilant oversight of ACP Kailash Singh Bisht and DCP Amit Kaushik.
The individuals taken into custody have been recognized as Vikas Prajapati alias Betu, 19, from Datia, Madhya Pradesh; Hargunpreet Singh alias Gurkaranpreet Singh, 19, from Firozpur, Punjab; and Asif alias Arish, 22, from Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh.

Police noted that Prajapati had communicated with Bhatti via Instagram, subsequently traveling to Gurdaspur to retrieve a parcel containing a grenade. After conducting surveillance on the City Police Station, he subsequently entrusted the grenade to Hargunpreet Singh and his accomplice, following instructions from Bhatti.
On November 25, Hargunpreet Singh allegedly launched the grenade outside the Gurdaspur station, while another accomplice, Mohan, rode the motorcycle.
“Asif, a resident of Macchmaar, Bijnor (UP), has completed education up to Class 5. He connected with Bhatti approximately 2.5 months ago through Instagram. Bhatti directed him to detonate a grenade in Punjab and provided images and a map. He was also linked with Vikas through Bhatti. Bhatti instructed him to await further orders,” the report stated.
