New Delhi, July 12 (NationPress) Delhi's Education Minister Ashish Sood on Saturday celebrated the significant role of private schools in the city’s educational framework, asserting that the era of conflict between the government and private institutions is over.
While inaugurating the ‘Future Lab’ at Vivekanand School in Anand Vihar, as part of the Atal Innovation Mission, the Minister criticized the former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's educational strategies, stating, “Private schools would have faced challenges in student enrollment if the quality of government schools had been enhanced.”
Sood also honored students who excelled in board exams and various national and international competitions.
During his speech, he mentioned, “Both students and their parents deserve accolades, as success is a shared accomplishment.”
“Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister @narendramodi ji, we are committed to fostering talent that will drive the nation’s development,” he noted in a subsequent post on X.
He characterized the ‘Future Lab’ as a groundbreaking initiative, stating, “This lab is not just a technology learning center, but a space to cultivate creativity, innovation, and inquisitiveness. Our goal is to develop technology creators, not mere consumers.”
Addressing the assembly of students, educators, and parents, Sood stressed that the gathering was not merely an academic event but a significant statement: “Where faith, talent, and progress meet, the foundation of a new India is established.”
Quoting Swami Vivekananda, he encouraged students with three pivotal messages regarding curiosity, courage, and strength.
“Never stifle the questions that emerge within you. Confront challenges head-on. A robust body and a resilient mind are the true architects of a great nation,” he articulated.
Sood remarked that just as Swami Vivekananda showcased the spirit of India to the world in 1893 in Chicago, today’s youth must perpetuate that ethos through self-confidence, diligence, and integrity.
Emphasizing the importance of artificial intelligence, Sood urged students to approach AI not with trepidation but with accountability. “Utilize it wisely and gear up for future challenges,” he advised.
He described students as the builders of India’s future, adding, “When India celebrates 100 years of Independence in 2047, it will be today’s students who will steer the nation. Education is the launchpad that will elevate this journey.”
