New Delhi, Aug 11 (NationPress) The Delhi Education Minister, Ashish Sood, announced on Monday that the government has plans to construct 21,000 smart classrooms over the next four years.

The Minister stated that as part of the education sector reforms, the government will introduce AI-based language labs and facial recognition attendance systems in Delhi's state-run schools.

During the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Modern School in Vasant Vihar, Sood emphasized that AI will increasingly be employed for significant tasks, such as paper evaluation.

He mentioned that the Chromebook model will empower schools with modern technology, indicating that under the leadership of PM Modi and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi Government is effecting substantial changes in education.

Sood conveyed his best wishes to the Principal, Trustees, President, Secretary, parents, and students of Modern School in light of the upcoming Independence Day.

While addressing the students, the Minister remarked that the 50-year journey of Modern School is not merely a figure but a significant milestone filled with dedication, aspirations, and values that have shaped countless students into responsible citizens.

He referred to the 79th Independence Day and the school's anniversary as a moment for reflection, urging that we consider what we will contribute back to the nation and to Delhi upon completing our education.

Today, India grapples with numerous challenges including climate change, ethical AI usage, semiconductor geopolitics, and resource scarcity. To address these issues, the new generation must embody a blend of Indian values and modernity, he noted.

Sood further asserted that patriotism extends beyond merely hoisting the tricolor; it must also manifest in daily practices and discipline, such as cleanliness, observance of traffic rules, and respect for others' rights.

He highlighted the launch of the "Each One Clean One" cleanliness campaign in Delhi, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing that making cleanliness a habit is a genuine contribution.

Quoting Gandhiji, he stated, "Be the change you want to see in the world," encouraging children to become the change they wish to see in the country.

Sood remarked that previously, government schools produced IAS officers, doctors, and engineers, and now the Delhi government is reinstating facilities in these schools to match private institutions.

He committed to incorporating insights and suggestions from private schools to elevate Delhi's education system collectively.
