Jaipur, Dec 12 (NationPress) Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra fiercely criticized the state government on Friday, marking two years of its administration, and stated that this timeframe has been characterized by “drama, failures, and broken promises.”

Dotasra remarked that two years ago, the state “saw a spectacle where the Chief Minister was selected through a slip of paper,” and now, “another drama” has occurred as “the Chief Minister recited a script sent from Delhi.”

He emphasized that instead of showcasing accomplishments, the Chief Minister should clarify why the commitments made by the BJP and the Prime Minister during the electoral campaign remain unfulfilled.

Dotasra asserted that Rajasthan is falling behind in all governance areas, mentioning that the previous Congress administration’s Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, which provided Rs 25 lakh coverage, has been slashed to Rs 5 lakh.

He pointed out that accident insurance has also been reduced from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, and medicines under the free medicine initiative are reportedly unavailable in CHCs and PHCs, with “counterfeit medicines” being discovered where they are accessible.

He further stated that the RGHS scheme is “collapsing,” with over 400 hospitals eliminated from the panel. He accused the government of canceling the medical college approved for Sanchore during the Congress period.

Dotasra highlighted that farmers are enduring hardships due to fertilizer shortages and mandatory Aadhaar-based queues, likening the situation to the lines during demonetization.

He stated that farmers are facing lathi charges and are not receiving the wheat bonus or the promised MSP of Rs 2,700. He added that the government has failed to deliver the promised Rs 12,000 Kisan Samman Nidhi, with the Agriculture Minister himself acknowledging that farmers’ issues are valid.

He criticized the Education Department for rampant corruption in transfers, noting that 6,000 principals were transferred during half-yearly exams, while many promoted principals are still waiting for assignments.

Dotasra said that despite a shortage of 1.25 lakh teachers, the government announced only 7,000 L-1 and L-2 vacancies, with nearly 900 applicants vying for each position.

He also mentioned that the state has failed to initiate the recruitment of 75,000 sanitation workers, leaving thousands without jobs.

According to him, the Indira Rasoi Yojana has been weakened with fewer cooks and plates, and “free food packets for the needy have ceased.”

He pointed out that free livestock insurance, which provided Rs 40,000 compensation, has been terminated, and new electricity connections are not receiving the promised 150 units free.

Dotasra questioned the government’s assertions regarding the Yamuna water project, stating that the DPR promised within four months is still incomplete after 24 months.

He inquired why the Centre has not classified ERCP as a national project and how much funding has been allocated to Rajasthan thus far.

Dotasra concluded by asserting that he could “confidently state” that the Chief Minister’s claims are misleading, and the government’s two-year term reflects “confusion, contradictions, and a complete failure to meet promises.”
