Hyderabad, April 28 (NationPress) - On Monday, the Enforcement Directorate executed searches at several sites in Hyderabad in relation to land transactions tied to the case allegedly involving senior IAS officer D. Amoy Kumar.
The officials from the ED targeted residences of individuals such as Munawar Khan, Khaderunnisa, Sharfan, and others in the historic district as part of an investigation stemming from a case registered at the Maheswaram police station in 2023.
These searches are thought to be part of ongoing inquiries that commenced in October of the previous year, during which the central agency interrogated Amoy Kumar, who is currently assigned to the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Department and has previously held the position of district collector for Rangareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri districts.
The officer was questioned regarding a land dispute that arose while he served as the collector of Rangareddy district.

Shareef asserted that he and Muzaffer Hussain Khan acquired the land from Mohammed Akber Ali Khan and Mohammed Farooq Ali Khan, who inherited the property through an oral gift from their father, Nawab Haji Khan.
