Embrace Challenges: PM Modi Encourages Youth to Break Free from Comfort Zones

New Delhi, January 12 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the youth of India on Sunday to venture beyond their comfort zones and welcome risks to realize the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047.

During the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, commemorating National Youth Day, PM Modi underscored the crucial role of youth in molding the future of the nation.

The Prime Minister highlighted the ongoing economic growth, stating, “We are swiftly progressing towards a $5 trillion economy. Upon achieving this milestone, the level of development will be remarkable, and the range of facilities will expand significantly. However, India will not halt here. By the end of the next decade, we aim to exceed the $10 trillion economy threshold.”

He cautioned against complacency, encouraging the youth to move beyond their comfort zones.

“We need to be cautious about becoming too comfortable. Comfort zones can hinder progress. Advancement demands taking risks and pushing limits. The young individuals participating in this dialogue have already shown this by stepping outside their comfort zones to be present. This life philosophy will elevate you to new heights of achievement,” PM Modi expressed.

“Numerous major global companies are now led by Indian youth. The world acknowledges the potential of Indian youth. We are in a 25-year golden phase, an Amrit Kaal, and I firmly believe that India’s Yuva Shakti will transform India into a developed nation,” he added.

He commended the accomplishments of the younger generation over the last decade, noting, “In merely 10 years, you have advanced India into one of the top three startup ecosystems globally, boosted our manufacturing capabilities, popularized the Digital India initiative worldwide, and made significant progress in sports. If India's youth can turn the impossible into reality, they will certainly make Viksit Bharat achievable.”

The Prime Minister reiterated the government's commitment to empowering youth by enhancing educational infrastructure.

“A new university is established in India every week. Daily, a new ITI is initiated. Every third day, a new Atal Tinkering Lab opens. Furthermore, two new colleges are inaugurated every day. Currently, there are 23 IITs in the country. In just a decade, the number of IIITs has grown from nine to 25, and the count of IIMs has risen from 13 to 21. The number of AIIMS has tripled, and medical colleges have almost doubled,” he stated.

He also pointed out the increasing global acknowledgment of India's educational institutions.

“Before 2014, only nine Indian higher education institutions appeared in the QS rankings. Today, this number has escalated to 46. The strength of India's educational establishments is vital for a Viksit Bharat,” the Prime Minister said.

Setting ambitious goals for the nation, PM Modi remarked, “We must establish new objectives daily and accomplish them. We are nearing the day when India will ascend to the position of the third-largest economy globally. Over the past decade, 250 million people have been lifted out of poverty. At this rate, the day will soon come when India will entirely eliminate poverty.”

He mentioned that India aims to generate 500 gigawatts of renewable energy by the decade's end, achieve net-zero carbon emissions for railways by 2030, and establish a space station by 2035. “We are also striving to host the Olympics in the upcoming decade. India is rapidly evolving as a space power and is on course to meet these targets,” he stated.

PM Modi also expressed his faith in the Indian youth, asserting that they are collectively shaping the blueprint for India's future over the next 25 years and will realize the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047.

Celebrating National Youth Day, which honors the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, PM Modi remarked, “Swami Vivekananda had immense faith in the youth of our nation. He believed in the new generation, and I share the same unwavering belief in today's youth. If Swami Vivekananda were with us today, he would be inspired by the dedicated efforts of our youth, revitalizing India with new hope and aspirations.”

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the venue, stating, “In this very Bharat Mandapam, global leaders convened to discuss worldwide development. Today, my young leaders are crafting the roadmap for India's next 25 years.”

Pointing out that India is one of the youngest nations globally, PM Modi reiterated his appeal to engage one lakh young individuals in politics, envisioning it as a platform to implement transformative ideas.

Previously, the Prime Minister visited an exhibition showcasing the innovative contributions of 3,000 young leaders, aligning their initiatives with the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat 2047.'

The exhibits highlighted advancements in digital technologies, virtual innovations, and sustainable development goals, reflecting a collective ambition for a strong, healthy, and prosperous India.

The event signified a historic convergence of youth leadership and innovation, reaffirming the government's dedication to empowering a future-ready generation.
