Enhanced Collaboration Required Between State, Financial Institutions & Central Government for Effective PMRSK Execution: Hanuman Beniwal

Jaipur, Jan 9 (NationPress) Hanuman Beniwal, Chief of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) and MP from Nagaur, stated on Wednesday that enhanced collaboration between the state government, banking sector, and the Central government is critical for the successful execution of the Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Srijan Karyakram (PMRSK).
The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Industry, of which Beniwal is a member, conducted a visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday and Wednesday to evaluate the progress of PMRSK in both rural and urban settings.
During the discussions held in Srinagar, senior officials from the Jammu and Kashmir administration, representatives from various banks, and petroleum companies came together to assess the scheme's performance.
The committee also examined the execution of the Public Procurement Policy, which stipulates that 25 percent of purchases by Central Public Sector Enterprises should be sourced from MSMEs, alongside the timely disbursement of payments to these enterprises.
Beniwal stressed that without improved coordination among the Centre, states, banks, and loan seekers, the scheme would face challenges in meeting its objectives.
He criticized senior officials for their dependence on subordinates for scheme implementation, observing that this method often results in mere data collection and report generation without tackling real-world challenges.
Consequently, numerous eligible individuals remain unable to secure loans under the scheme.
He urged field officers to adopt a more proactive stance to guarantee that government initiatives reach their intended beneficiaries.
Beniwal stated that until there is improved collaboration between the state and Central governments, as well as between banks and potential loan applicants, the scheme's execution will be hindered.
"For effective implementation of government schemes at the grassroots level, officers need to engage in fieldwork; however, they often rely solely on data collection and report generation through their subordinates, while thousands of eligible individuals remain deprived of loans," the RLP Chief added.
