Mumbai, March 19 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, welcomed the New Zealand Prime Minister, Christopher Luxon, on Wednesday, engaging in discussions aimed at enhancing collaboration in critical sectors.

In his post on X, he expressed, "A warm welcome to the Prime Minister of New Zealand in Mumbai and Maharashtra. It was an honor to engage with him and his team. Our conversations were both enlightening and future-oriented, concentrating on bolstering bilateral relations and nurturing deeper partnerships across vital sectors."

Additionally, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met with PM Luxon to address a variety of topics, including the development of Mumbai.

As per Shinde's office, he informed the Prime Minister about initiatives aimed at making Mumbai slum-free and providing housing for the city's residents. He also highlighted the efforts made to enhance Mumbai's economic capacity, which serves as the engine of the nation's growth. The Prime Minister showed keen interest in understanding how Mumbai's internal cleanliness is being improved through initiatives like Deep Clean.
