New Delhi, Oct 25 (NationPress) Chief Minister Rekha Gupta revealed on Saturday that the government of the National Capital Territory will unveil the city’s inaugural official logo on November 1, coinciding with Delhi Foundation Day.
The Chief Minister emphasized that this logo will serve as a fresh emblem of the capital’s distinctive identity.
CM Gupta stated that the logo will represent the city’s modern, transparent, and citizen-centric governance, while also showcasing the unity of Delhi's diverse culture and development.
A logo design competition was hosted on the MyGov portal (mygov.in), with the submission deadline set for September 26. According to her, over 1,800 entries were received from across the nation.
Last month, an expert committee was formed by the Chief Minister to supervise the selection process for Delhi’s official logo, which is meant to embody the city’s unique identity, rich history, culture, growth, and the aspirations of its residents, an official stated.
This initiative marks the first occasion that the government is establishing an official logo for the National Capital Territory.
“The project is already in progress, and CM Gupta has appointed an expert committee to guide the selection of Delhi’s official logo,” the official elaborated.
The Chief Minister noted that special measures have been implemented for the logo’s design and selection.
As per her statements, an expert committee led by the Secretary of the Department of General Administration assessed the submissions and shortlisted the final design.
The committee comprises specialists from various universities, with the Joint Secretary of the Department of General Administration serving as Member Secretary.
CM Gupta reiterated that the logo will symbolize Delhi’s unique identity. The government aspires for it to reflect the city’s modern, transparent, and people-oriented governance.
