New Delhi, Aug 13 (NationPress) The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has called on the food manufacturing sector to provide truthful and honest declarations on food labels and packaging.

During the National Stakeholder Consultation on ‘Comprehensive Analysis of Regulatory Framework on Food Labelling, Advertisement and Claims’ at Vigyan Bhawan, the FSSAI emphasized the shared responsibility of ensuring that the information on food packages is accurate, transparent, and truthful, thus empowering consumers to make informed, safe, and healthy choices with confidence.

In her opening remarks, Health and Family Welfare Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava highlighted the necessity of ethical and truthful practices in food labelling and advertising.
