Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Ahmedabad, March 8 (NationPress) Gautam Adani, the chairman of the Adani Group, expressed on Sunday that the women in his family have been instrumental in molding his perspective on life, sense of responsibility, and commitment to nation-building.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, Gautam Adani shared a heartfelt reflection, referring to the women in his life as the “architects of my conscience”.
In a post on LinkedIn, the Chairman of Adani Group reminisced about how the women in his family significantly shaped his sense of duty, character, and outlook towards nation-building.
Recalling his youth, he mentioned that his foundational lessons were imparted by his mother, who introduced him to the rich narratives of India’s epics and the values they encapsulate.
“The lessons derived from these epics imparted wisdom that surpassed any textbook. These stories instilled values of courage, sacrifice, duty, and faith from an early age,” Gautam Adani remarked.
He also reflected on a pivotal moment in his life when he ventured to Mumbai at the age of 16, armed with little more than sheer determination to carve out his own path.
Gautam Adani acknowledged that as he faced an uncertain future, he often contemplates the courage it took for his mother to support his journey.
Additionally, he paid homage to his wife, Priti Adani, whom he referred to as “the keeper of my conscience”.
“A qualified dentist, she opted to devote her efforts to the Adani Foundation, which now spearheads initiatives in education, healthcare, sustainable livelihoods, and community development,” stated the Chairman of Adani Group.
“These programs impact the lives of over 10 million individuals across 22 states in India,” Gautam Adani noted.
Discussing his family dynamics, the Indian billionaire praised his daughters-in-law, Paridhi Adani and Diva Adani, for their innovative contributions.
He described Paridhi as a perceptive and astute lawyer capable of engaging in diverse discussions, while Diva, a designer, combines creativity with empathy, particularly in advocating for individuals with disabilities.
He also expressed joy over the influence of his three granddaughters, mentioning that their presence lightens the seriousness of boardroom discussions and serves as a reminder of the responsibilities each generation holds towards the next.
