Patna, Oct 18 (NationPress) During the current Bihar Assembly election campaign, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel made his way to Bihar on Saturday to rally support for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Speaking at a public gathering in favor of BJP candidate Virendra Singh in Wazirganj, located in Gaya district, Patel urged voters to help restore the NDA government in the state.

Earlier that day, Virendra Singh submitted his nomination for the Wazirganj Assembly seat.

Offering his endorsement, Bhupendra Patel praised the developmental initiatives undertaken by the NDA government, especially in enhancing road infrastructure. “There is a significant contrast between the roads of the past and the present. Bihar is advancing rapidly under the NDA,” he noted.

Quoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Patel added, “PM Modi states that everyone reveres the rising sun; however, the people of Bihar also honor the setting sun. This is why Bihar is regarded as a divine land.”

He further emphasized the potential for collaboration between Bihar and Gujarat in sectors like industry, education, and agriculture, affirming that the NDA’s policies are aimed at the welfare of farmers, youth, women, and the underprivileged.

BJP candidate Virendra Singh, addressing the crowd, declared, “The residents of Wazirganj are akin to my family. My mission is to serve and ensure comprehensive development of the area by generating employment opportunities for the youth.”

The rally saw enthusiastic participation from leaders and supporters of the BJP, JDU, and other NDA allies.

The campaign efforts by prominent NDA leaders are intensifying in Bihar.

On Friday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav was present at the nomination event of BJP candidate Prem Kumar from the Gaya City seat.

The Wazirganj Assembly constituency, established post the 2008 delimitation, is categorized as a general seat with approximately 93% Hindu voters from around 150 villages.

Since its establishment, it has seen three assembly elections — won by the BJP in 2010 and 2020, while the Congress won in 2015.

In the previous election, BJP’s Virendra Singh triumphed with around 70,000 votes, overcoming Congress candidate Shashi Shekhar Singh by a margin of 22,430 votes.
